Anti-Cybersquatting Coalition Launches

The last update from CADNA, the Coalition Against Domain Name Abuse that FairWinds Partners helped form, came on April 27, 2007, when the coalition’s founding members held a preliminary call to discuss a timetable for taking action against Internet fraud. Today, we are happy to announce the official launch of CADNA’s campaign to combat cybersquatting.

CADNA, whose members include AIG, Dell, Eli Lilly, Hilton, HSBC, Marriott, Richemont, Verizon, Wyndham, and Yahoo! held a telephone press conference today to shine a spotlight on the issue of cybersquatting, discuss its far-reaching effects and outline steps that the Coalition will take to make the Internet a less confusing and safer place for consumers and businesses alike.

While the Coalition is gaining momentum, it is currently welcoming new members. If you are interested in learning more about cybersquatting, its effects on your business, and what CADNA is doing to reduce online brand abuse, please contact us.
